4 of us....

There used to be six of my babies. Then Auntie Charlotte took Precious home. We see her every day though :-) Then Auntie Sheri took Tiny home. They haven't had a chance to visit again yet. Mom said a nice lady is coming to take home another one of the babies this evening so she took these pictures of the 4 of my babies left. Kawaii (So Cute), Bubba (mom named my one little boy Bubba and the poor little thing answers to it), # 5 and # 6. We are a happy little bunch.

Someone is lickin their chops here!!! Check out the lip action on the back puppy. And Bubba is leaning against the fridge like a drunk.

And of course, Bubba always has to show off and jump up! :-) They are a happy little bunch though.

Mom was right, a nice lady came by with her 2 daughters and her niece and they sat down and played with all the babies. Her youngest daughter fell in love with my little # 5 so that was the baby they took home. Mom cried when they left and swore she will never let me have babies again, it's too hard on her when they go to a new home. She knows that # 5 will have a happy home though. It seems a bit empty here without #5 but we are glad she found a good family who will love her lots. Here is the last picture we have of # 5, she's with her happy new family getting ready to leave to go to her new home in a place called Barrie. Hi # 5!!! We love you and will miss you. Her new family said they will keep in touch and will let us know what name they give her. Mom never named her or # 6 because it might confuse them when they go to new homes later and get a different name. Anyway, here is the picture of our sweet number 5. Maybe # 5's new family will send us pictures now and then so we can see how she is growing up. Mom gave them the blog address so they can check out this picture.

The material no longer works but the new wall does!

Every time mom raised the level of the material gate we learned yet another way around it.
If my babies weren't jumping over it, they were finding ways around it.

So, since the babies kept escaping mom ended up going to the last resort and this is it!! It's a wall!! Well kinda, sorta it is. It's a big piece of plywood with a door cut in it for mom to come in and out of. Doesn't matter much though because every time she opens the door to go in, the babies come running out! lol Still works for the most part anyway and mom doesn't have to climb over it anymore which is a really good thing.

GOOD MORNING!! lol

Hi Everyone, Good morning!! This is how my babies greet us all in the morning. The video is dark, sorry. Time mom uploads the newer camera to the laptop and try learning how to use it instead.
and here's more......... lol

bit of an update

Busy, busy, busy chasing these little babies of mine and of checking on Nanna. Nanna came home 3 weeks ago tomorrow and we love having her home but she is requiring a lot more care than we thought. Mom has had to get some agencies in to help with her so she has a bit of time to do other things that need to be done. Like... playing with me, rubbing my tummy, playing with my babies, feeding them, cleaning up after them lol. You should see it when they (mom and Auntie Charlotte) try to take us all outside at once! Holy moly! It's hilarious.

Auntie Sheri took her baby home with her so we had to say goodbye to Tiny (named after my Nanna - her nickname all her life has been Tiny) but she will be visiting us every time Auntie Sheri comes to Toronto to visit Nanna. When Nanna picked out her baby to keep she was named So Cute. Nanna and Mom have kind of changed that though. Officially their baby's name is now "Kawaii" (rhymes with Hawaii). Kawaii is Japanese for "So Cute" :-) Our friend David who owns Bo-Bo's Pet Boutique at College Park told mom what the Japanese word for "so cute" was. Mom told Nanna and they both really liked it. So she will get called Kawaii when she's in trouble and So Cute when she's not :-)

My babies are getting really big and strong now. They are 10 weeks old and mom had to make a new gate yet again. This one is 20" high now because my little devil dogs can get over the old one. She is finding it very hard to train them when she has 4 puppies here all the time. Auntie Charlotte took her baby home a couple of weeks ago so Precious Lee now lives down the hall from us but she comes every day for play time or I go up there to play with her. Here are a couple of pictures of the 3 babies that mom is trying to sell now. I'll have to get a photo of me and Kawaii as soon as I can and post that too :-)

These are my two other little girls and my only sweet boy. My little boy is the one standing up looking at the camera. He looks a lot like his dad and mom is thinking of keeping him too but it's still up for debate. He sticks his little pink tongue out and smiles :-)

updating soon

We will be updating soon. Nanna got home from the hospital 2 weeks ago and we have been very, very busy with her. Mom promises to get some pics ready and to give me some computer time soon. :-)

off to the vet!!!

On Wednesday July 14th we took my babies to the vet for their 2nd full exam and their first shots! We had to transport them in my old crate and guess what? They loved it!!! Here are a couple of pictures of them resting and waiting for us to go.
Off we went in a taxi and they enjoyed the ride as much as I do. Good to know they don't get car sick. When we got there mom put me on the scale and I'm down to a svelt 6.6 k's. I've lost all my baby weight and I've only got a bit of milk now too. I don't feed the babies myself much any more. They love the puppy food they are getting. I love it too!! :-)
Since my babies look so much alike Daddy Chris (Grandpa to them) decided to get a felt marker and number my babies in the flap of their ear. We thought this was funny but a good idea. Turns out though that permanent marker isn't so permanent on puppies. Two days later it was gone! lol Mom and Auntie Charlotte had to figure out who was who and renumber us.
All my babies got a great clean bill of health. They had their paws checked, their eyes, their ears, their little hearts and were checked for hernia's too and all were perfect. Mom discussed putting them on kibble now since whenever one escapes it heads right for my bowl and steals a piece of my kibble. He said it was ok. This will mean less wet poop and less poop all together. Yippie!!!
We had a separate folder made for each baby and as they were examined and got their shot, mom weighed them and it was all documented. Their weights are:
#1 = 1.47 kg or 3.2 lbs chunky monkey! This one is Auntie Charlotte's baby and she's named her Precious Lee
# 2 = 1.19 kg or 2.61 lbs
# 3 = 1.04 kg or 2.28 lbs and this one is "SoCute", the one Nanna picked out to keep
# 4 = 1.38 kg or 3.03 lbs and this is our only little boy, another chunky monkey
# 5 = 1.10 kg or 2.4 lbs our other little baby that will be going to Auntie Sheri probably
# 6 = 1.19 kg or 2.61 lbs
When we got home from the Dr. mom decided to give paper a try for training. hahahaha Mom is a silly girl for sure! My babies played and growled, and snarled and ripped up that paper until 3 a.m. Mom got little sleep. I on the other hand was snuggled up in the bathroom snoozing away. Come morning though things took a turn for the better and now this evening (Friday) everyone has seen them get up, leave where they are laying, go to the paper, squat, do their thing, then go back to where they were!! Let's hope this continues :-)

Ready and waiting....

This picture was taken yesterday. 5 of my 6 babies are ready and waiting for their breakfast! #6 is behind the box lol It's gimmie, gimmie, gimmie when it comes to food. They haven't learned any manners yet. At least they've already learned that this is where they wait to get fed.
Mom is seriously considering putting newspaper down at this point. She's really getting tired of mopping the floor 20 times a day and newspapers would make it a bit easier. Then again, when she tried the pee pads they played with them. :-)

Sunday July 11th, 2010 - bathtime!!

Really, these pictures were taken yesterday :-) Mom found some kong balls for my babies and they loved them. They all started playing with them. She only found 2 and will look for more. All my babies showed an interest in them and are still knocking them around.

It was also bath day on Saturday for my 6 little heathens. They really did rather well. Only one squealer and the rest took it great. One shook quite a bit too until it dried a bit. Mom and auntie Charlotte washed them all one at a time with a little bit of baby shampoo then towel dried them well. Then mom used her blow drier on low for a bit to get them mostly dry. They were then put in my old crate so we can keep them all clean until they were all done. As each puppy was being washed I stood below watching them to make sure they did a good job :-) Then I went to the crate with them and waited as they placed each baby in there. I had to make sure they were ok. Auntie Charlotte got a really good idea and put my blanket in there so my babies could smell me.
This is one of my poor wet babies.
Today is Sunday and my babies had a new toy. Uncle Gary came to help mom take all the glass stuff off the wall unit. Last weekend they ripped up all the wall to wall carpet and next weekend Mom is having a new floor installed. Something called Laminate. She says it will stand up to the puppies and me better and when Nanna gets home, it will be easier for her with her walker too. Anyway, Uncle Gary took his sandles off in the kitchen and my babies chewed on them most the day. One actually crawled in on and fell asleep. Mom was going to take a picture because it looked so cute but it woke up before she could get the camera. We love Uncle Gary :-)

More pics.. and how tired is our people mom???

1-2-3-4-5-6!! We hear that a lot around here. Mom is wondering what the neighbours are thinking every time they go by our door and hear her say.. 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 . They must think she's a bit slow and can only count to 6. :-)

Hey!! Mom and my Uncle Brenton and Auntie Katie brought my Nanna home for a wee visit and to pick her puppy on Tuesday!! She picked the holy terror of the bunch. hahaha My little leader of the pack. Tiny but spunky. Here is Nanna and "Socute". (so cute)

My baby is a dirty little girl about to have her first bath. This should be interesting. Mom is disgusted with my babies at times, they pee then run through it. lol This is Nanna holding SoCute. Nanna has ouchie hands but is able to still hold her. :-)

This is us learning how to use pee pads!!
And last but not least....... how tired is our people Mom??? Well she went to see Daddy Chris our Vet and told him we had yukky worms! She said she saw something in our poop and it looked like rice. He asked her if it moved and she said no but since my babies are 5 weeks old now they can be dewormed. He made us up our medicine and some for me too just in case. We got our medicine and the next day Mom is making up the 6 little bowls for breakfast when she looks in the can and guess what? It has rice in the puppy food!! She's been feeding it to the babies for a week and a half and just noticed it had rice in it. Worms... lol blah... get some sleep mom.

What goes in....

Must come out! Oh my, since we started feeding my babies solid food (canned Medi-Cal Preventative) my babies are not only peeing machines but they're pooping machines too! They are very smart though, they don't do their business in the box, the get out, do their business and then get back in the box! Mom is going to start to put down pee pads and see if they will start to try using them. I betcha they play with it instead! Mom is going to take more pictures and give a list of everything other people mom's will need if they plan on having puppies in their homes. She says it's been a real learning experience. :-)

one last playtime one..

another vid

video's

Here are my children, the little wicked ones :-) Sorry it's so dark but this was taken at night when they like to play the most...

I'm such the Diva :-)

ooooh, busy, busy, busy. My social calendar is filling :-) Last night Mary Ann (my boyfriend's mom) and her daughter Monica came to visit. We had lots of fun. I got cuddles and they paid lots of attention to me and they also played with my babies. Monica and my little boy fell asleep on mom's sofa. Mary Ann says she sends my blog out to all her co-workers at Campbell's so I will wave HI to everyone there! You should let me know you're here by commenting. I would love to hear from others.

While waiting for Mary Ann and her daughter to come for a visit our neighbours Shimon and Aref came over to see me and my babies too! Aref washed his hands (so they didn't transfer the scent of his own dog onto one of my babies) and he held one of my babies. They brought Malka over too. I love Malka as well. I like to chase her everywhere but she's getting older and doesn't like it much when I do. Malka visited my mom and Charlotte while Shimon and Aref visited my babies. They were away on vacation in a place called Turkey! Yummy... Turkey!! I want to go there! I love Turkey!

Then while they were all here, Shimon, Aref, Greg and Charlotte a knock came on the door and it was Laurie! Laurie came to see my babies too. She says they are beautiful. Laurie's doggy had puppies 2 weeks ago and mom was telling her what she's in for.

Earlier in the evening Auntie Charlotte and Greg came to visit too! Greg loves me :-) I love him too. He did me a big favour and he made me a ramp! We had to make the gate higher because my littlest girl, the leader of the pack, discovered how to get the gate down and let her and her siblings escape in the middle of the night. Mom's had enough of that already so we raised the gate but that made it more difficult for me. So Greg went home (down the hall) and made me my
very own ramp! Mom gave him an old towel to cover it with. It works wonderful!! Here is a pic.

As you can see, the gate looks different too because mom went to the fabric store and bought some cheap cotton (it was called 2nd's but worked perfect for this) and made a new long sleeve to cover the tension poles. This is because the leader of the pack discovered her claws worked wonders when climbing up the screening mom had originally used. So mom got smart again and bought cheap cotton that they slide off. hahaha The next problem though, little smarty pants realized that if she got her paws up there on the top tension pole and put all her weight on it and jumped.... voila!!! it fell and everyone escaped again! So.... mom spent the night up again. Now they have put a new stronger, bigger tension pole on the top and it stays in place and my tiny terror can't bring it down or climb over any more. At least for a while. :-)

I have so much news.... My babies are now eating their very own food! I don't like that though. I want to have some too! hmmp! The nerve, feeding them and not me! I get very upset when they do that and I talk and mumble at them. Greg has never heard me talk before and he couldn't believe it when I sat behind him talking away because I wanted the puppy food too! Mom says it was very funny. We tried feeding the puppies from just 2 bowls but that didn't work too well so mom went to the $ store and picked up 6 little individual dishes. They are cat food dishes but who cares. So, here is a picture of all of us (except one that charlotte is holding) eating away. My babies knew right away how to eat solid food from a bowl. We were all amazed.

Now they are all eating, they are also all pooping. Oh joy! Speaking of pooping. My poor bum-bum. The medicine Daddy Chris gave me is working some but not enough and this morning he called my mom to tell her the results of the cultures he took to the lab. They are growing some ugly bacteria. Mom asked how? He said I could have picked it up way back and it was growing inside until it finally took over and gave me the bad runs all the time. So mom had the choice of going to pick up two new medicines for me or to take me every few days for a needle of penicillan so she said she will take the medicines. With Nanna in the hospital it will make it hard to go every few days and mom has a good way of pilling me. She says everyone should go out and buy an inexpensive mortar and pestle to crush pills. That's what she uses, her one for her kitchen stuff but she crushes my pills easily in it then sprinkles the crushed pill in a bit of soft food that I love and gobble up! Tricks me and gets my pills in me easily. I will stay home with my babies while mom runs to Chris again for me. She also called the pet insurance company to find out our deductable and is going to have the vet staff count up the bills and submit them for her to get some of the money back. She uses a good place and gets back 80%. She will have to get a policy for the baby we keep too. It pays for itself in the long run.

Everyone have a Happy Canada Day tomorrow! Mom will post a couple of video's here too for me. I have to go check on my babies now.

Monday...

Now I know why my mom hates Mondays.... we were both up all night running after me and my runs :-( At 11:00 pm last night we thought my new medicine was working but nope... at least not yet. And at about 3 am last night I was going in to feed my babies and when I jumped over the gate to get into the kitchen I knocked it down!! Babies... babies.. babies.. everywhere escaping! I barked for mom and she came and helped me get them all. She says I really wasn't much help considering I stood right in front of her while she tried to gather them up and get them on the other side of the gate again. lol Odd, she wasn't amused. Maybe it was the time.

I then left her one final huge stain on the carpet around 6:30 am. She is very happy she made the decision to have the carpet ripped up this coming weekend. Somehow between 6:30 am and 9 am I managed to hurt either my front paw or knee cause now I'm favouring it and mom doesn't know what to do. She will watch it and if it's not better by the end of the day, off to the vet again. She already has to go some time today to get my new food and the puppies food. The babies will start to eat now. They are old enough.

Mom is heading out for the day, Auntie Charlotte will babysit because one of my babies figured out how to literally climb the gate now and escape so mom has shopping to do and errands to run and make a new cloth gate instead of the netting. Seems their little claws work wonders in helping them climb that screening material..... mom never thought of that.

see ya later...

Sunday June 27th, 2010

Well, we went to the vet again today and he did another swab (I wish these people would leave that end of me alone!). Other than the fact it was runny, he said it looked good. This is a long process to find out why I have the runs. It's a process of elimination (pardon the pun). Dr. Chris thinks I may have developed an allergy! Since my regular food causes the runs and I eat only food that can be purchased strictly from the vet, and now the new "gastro" diet has me running too.... he is wondering if it's chicken I've developed an allergy to! Imagine that! He gave mom a sample of a new food, non-allergenic food and gave her a pill to make my poop back to regular. Boy, what a discussion. It's embarrassing. I wouldn't even mention it but it might help someone else in the long run. So we are waiting to see if the new food and new pill help.

In the meantime, we weighed my babies again. They are 30.8 oz, 26.3 oz, 25.6 oz, 23.7 oz, 23.7 oz, & 23.6 oz or close because they are getting to active to keep still very long. Oh, one has at least one tooth too and it likes to sink it in my mom's ankle! hahaha

That's all for today, mom is watching the news absolutely disgusted with those ugly people that were violent here. The whole city is really angry with them. They should leave our city like our Mayor says. It's the first time mom has agreed with him in a long time lol

night, night.

June 25th & 26th, 2010

Have to play catch up here. :-) Yesterday (Friday the 25th) mom turned into Linda Blair from the Exorcist. She was not happy. She went shopping for me, my babies and my nanna and when she came out of the mall (College Park) this is what she was greeted with!!

A wall of police in full riot gear!!! She never has seen so many police in this City. Not even when the Queen came to visit us. This is all because of the G20 summit in Toronto and mom is fuming about it. All that money wasted and this all makes Toronto (or Canada for that matter) look stupid and unsafe and we have even seen tv reports in the U.S. that say to stay away from our beautiful city!! I swear I saw green stuff flying out of mom's ears about this. I think her eyes rolled back in her head too! Here is also what greeted her..

She couldn't get past. She couldn't even move! Mom says this kind of thing doesn't impress her in the least and she doesn't support it either. Almost every store in the mall was closed due to this but mom didn't know why it was that way until she left the mall and was confronted by this. So, all those people that worked in that mall had to take the day off. Who is going to pay them? There are several small independant stores in there and they all had to close for the day. Mom says if you have an issue (which she does about this summit too, she thinks everyone that voted to have this summit here should lose their jobs lol. She actually thinks these gov't leaders should do these summits by video conference and save us all the grief and expense) then find another way to get your point across without causing other people hardships like losing a day's pay or an entire day's business. Mom had to stand there forever waiting for all these people to finally get past so she could get to the hospital to see nanna. Boy was she mad. Did I just see her head spin????? hmmmm

Well, onto bigger and better things... my babies!! :-) Here are some pics we took today. All of my babies can escape from the box now with ease. I had to wake mom up in the middle of the night again to help me put them all back in. I couldn't get them all together myself.

My babies have found one of my favourite places to be. Right in front of the refrigerator. Sneaky ones! They have taken my place there.

And of course, my little trouble maker. My smallest baby who seems to have figured out how to at least peek over the gate!!! Mom will have to raise the gate now but it will make it more difficult for me to get over it now. This baby is a little devil. :-)

I'm still a sicky little girl myself and we are going back to the Vet tomorrow to see Daddy Chris. I had mom up 3 times last night with wicked poopies. Mom said she never saw a dog poop water before and it wasn't nice. She felt very sorry for me and gave me a bit of pepto bismol at 4:30 am and so far, so good. I hate that stuff but mom took some Pure Bites Chicken and literally dipped it in the pink stuff and I ate it that way. It was the only way to get it into me because when I saw her original idea, in a syringe, I ran away! It was pink! I know what that colour means, stinky yukky stuff. Mom took a "sample" to the vet's office yesterday and they are going to grow cultures to see what, if anything, is going on. We have been back and forth but samples so far are showing nothing. We are all wondering if it's just the stress of the puppies and mom away a lot and nanna away all the time... and it's been pretty hot too but mom always leaves at least the fan on us if not the A/C.

Friday June 25th, 2010 they're loose!!!

Oh good grief. Mom isn't the smarty pants she thought she was. That package of paper she put on the inside of the kitchen for me to use as a step was not a smooth move. All my babies are on the move now. All of them!! So Wednesday evening my mom was standing in the diningroom watching them with glee as they pranced and wobbled around the kitchen when my littlest one decided to make a bee-line to her. She got to the package of paper and mom thought that would stop her in her tracks but she was wrong!! Baby crawled up on the paper!! Not only that, baby climbed up on the top of the makeshift gate and hauled herself over! Down she went, tumbling down onto the diningroom carpet between the stupid gate and the package of paper on that side.

ahem.... needless to say, mom had to move the package of paper I was using for a little stair in the kitchen. lol duh mom... my babies are acrobats!!

Last night I was frightful and around 3 am went charging into mom's bedroom barking my head off. Think I kind of like waking her like this, scares the you-know-what out of her. hehehe Any way, I'm barking my head off at her and she jumps up thinking something is really wrong. I run out of her bedroom and she follows me into the kitchen and there they are... all 6 of them... now running and prancing and jumping on each other on the kitchen floor! I couldn't control them and needed help. Naughty babies. Mom picked them all up and put them back into their box and I followed them and fed them. Mom thought it was rather funny watching me trying to corral them all and them running underneath me and around me and I was getting dizzy trying to get them all in one place. Not funny mom... serves you right to step into a little pee puddle by one of them. :-)

Tuesday June 22nd, 2010

I'm not feeling well. I have the poops again and I even threw up. Mom just discovered it. It must have been that yukky pepto bismo she gave me. It's enough to make anyone throw up. If I'm not feeling better in the morning mom will take me to see Daddy Chris my Vet. Here are some pics we took yesterday and today :-)

This is how we sleep. We like to always be touching each other. Cuddles for everyone! In the picture with me you can see one of my babies is even hugging my leg.

This is one of my little one's :-) Adorable eh? What a perfect little baby.

And this is mom's invention to stop the great escape! She is such a smarty pants. She went out to Crappy Tire (Cdn Tire) and bought two tension poles that went to 75" long and then bought some screening. She sewed it up and threaded the poles through it and voila! A gate. Since I was hesitant to jump over it mom grabbled two packages of paper and put one on either side so I had a little step to use. Now I jump in and out of the kitchen to my babies. They are now relegated strictly to the kitchen because they are now able to climb out of the box. At least 2 of them are cause I woke up mom all excited in the night and she came and looked and there were two out of the box at 5 am. Mom took 2 "pool noodles" and cut them up and stuffed them in all the places where my babies might crawl into, under the microwave cart, under the fridge, stove, etc. etc. You can see it all there, the blue stuff. She's a smart cookie my mom is :-) She stuck a bottle of water between the stove and the cupboards too. Says she is going to get something else but for now, that will work. My babies should be ok now if they get out.

ok, I'm not feeling well so I'm going to go lay down now and get some rest. Those babies are on me all the time. They are also starting to interact with each other and pawing each other and play biting each other. It's fun to watch at times.

Sunday June 20th, 2010

Hi :-) I have a movie for you. This is one of my babies. She is learning how to walk. She seems to do circles very well lol.

And here is a picture of the great escape...

Friday June 18th, 2010

Ack! They're peeing all over the place!! Yesterday this started. My babies are peeing more and more and more! Dirty children. Mom is appalled. Just disgusted. Wait till she sees what's next hehehehe. And guess what??? My babies are up and walking more or less. Mom is going to try to remember to take a video in the morning of them trotting around the carpet. She is having her carpet ripped up week after next so I wonder how they will take to the hardwood floor underneath? Maybe they'll slide all over the place :-)

Yesterday all of them were weighed again too. They are now: 23 oz (chunky monkey girl), 19 oz (chunky monkey boy), 17.4 oz, 17.2 oz, 16.9 oz and 16.3 oz. Mom is falling in love with the littlest one but she's trying not to. She wants Nanna to pick the baby that stays with us.

Tomorrow she has to try to build up the sides of the box we are in because we are climbing on each other and escaping. Our neighbour that watches us while mom's at the hospital with Nanna says he found one of the babies escaping again by standing on their sister and heading over the edge of the box they're all in. Bad babies......

Speaking of bad. I have my nights mixed up with my days and due most of my pee-pee's and poops in the middle of the night and I make sure Mom knows it too! She's getting grumpy from lack of sleep. I have also been ripping up more garbage. And tonight, mom brought home a corned beef on rye from the deli for dinner....... yummy!! hahahahaha She's not impressed.

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Hi Nanna!!

Our Nanna is still very ill. Mom is going to meet with her Dr. tomorrow to discuss stuff. In the meanwhile we made a couple of pictures for her and mom printed them out and took them to her yesterday. She loved them.

Tonight, Tuesday night, Mary Ann and her daughter came to visit us again. They wanted to steal my babies!! I let them hold them though. I love them, Mary Ann is my boyfriends mom :-) They can't believe how big my babies are getting either. Mom thinks she will weigh them again tonight or tomorrow and see how much they've gained. Hey!! Some of my babies are opening their eyes!!! They have beautiful eyes :-)

Well, off to eat again. Those babies are on me 24/7 so I eat a lot to keep up with them. I am on a special diet for a little while but that's ok, I like it. I made mom get up at 3 am to give me some!

Oh, I've also been a bad girl. I don't like all this alone time when mom is at the hospital with Nanna so I threw the garbage all over the place the other night and ripped open a box of steel wool soap pads and destroyed the box. Then last night I ripped the kitchen garbage bag open and there was thawed fish in it and I ripped the end of that box off too but the fish juice ran all over my head! Mom went to pat me and she thought I smelled like pee! ewwww she was freakin out. After she washed my head and her hand I went to bed. lol That will teach her for leaving me alone too long.

Mom might take me quickly to Nanna tomorrow. She thinks I will perk her up. Nanna is somewhat confused these past few days but I think she'll remember me fine. :-) If we go I'll blog about it.

Thursday, June 10, 2010

We had our one week birthday! Thurs. June 10th 2010

Lots has happened this week, some good, some not so good. Nanna took another bad turn and ended back in the other regular hospital. She is back in the rehab hospital again now but is still having breathing problems because she has fluid on her lungs :-( She will get better though, they gave her something to pee! hehehe

In the meantime we have been little devils. All of us. Mom took nanna to the other hospital and didn't get home until 6 am today. I didn't like being left all alone and not being in the bedroom with mom at night so I left mom a little treat. I left her what Auntie Sheri calls a DQ Swirl (Dairy Queen). A great big poop in Nanna's room on her throw carpet!!! Mom couldn't believe it when she saw it. I'm also on a barking binge. Mom has no idea what started it on Wednesday but she thinks the man that came to fix her scooter might have scared me a bit with all the noise he made and now I'm barking at everything, even in the night. The slightest sound sets me off. Mom says she's going to pull her hair out soon if it doesn't stop. I don't listen to her about this. My babies are starting to get a little louder too! They make a sound almost like a little kitty. grrrrrr No kitty sounds! Maybe that's why I'm barking??? :-)

And my babies! Well they are all just getting to be chunky monkeys. And monkeys they are, all over the place they crawl on their tummies. And they are greedy little things. Always hanging off me. Even when I stand up!! They don't want to let go. They turned one week old on Tuesday. Mom and our neighbour Greg weighed them all today and they weigh in ounces: 16.75 !! Yes, one is over a lb now! 14.20 oz, 12.00 oz, 11.65 oz, 13.00 oz, and 12.35 oz Here are some new pics.

This is my sister, I love her :-)

Everyone in their place :-)

Someone is missing! Mom is always taking a head count. ooops there she is... look closely between my two front paws. One always hides here or by my bum.

We either sleep this way, or like the next picture.

Poor mom almost had a heart attack......

We almost gave poor old mom a heart attack tonight. She went to see Auntie Sheri to her car and then checked the grocery store hours and back home. Took all of maybe 20 minutes. When she got back in she leaned over and counted heads... 5!!! She counted again... 5!!! Now she's thinking one must be under the blanket so she takes a couple more steps closer so she can see the whole box and WOW..... a baby has escaped!! There was one of my chunky monkies on the carpet between the box and my toys!! Mom has no idea how I got there because she hasn't seen mom pick any of us up yet so the only thing she can think of is I was laying with my back against the side of the box and one of the babies crawled up on me. This isn't all that unusual but this one must have made it all the way up and somehow was fairly even with the box edge and managed to waddle out! Plop to the carpet below! Mom is now paranoid.... and constantly counting heads.

more... I want more!!

Think if I pull on this any harder I'll get more???

more weekend.......

Check out the leg and tail action on these two :-)

Sunday June 6th, 2010

We were busy this weekend. Auntie Sheri came to visit! I really love my Auntie Sheri and I let her pick up my babies and didn't bark at her. On Saturday Auntie Sheri and Mom took Nanna in a wheelchair (with oxygen) to the hairdresser. It was a beautiful day out and Nanna said she felt like a million bucks after getting her hair washed & done. Then they wheeled her home for a little visit to see me and my beautiful babies. I love Nanna and really miss her. I let her pick up my babies and I went to her for snuggles. We had lots of loves until Nanna had to go back to the hospital. I hope she will come home for a visit again soon.

Another day.. yawnnn

Here are pics mom took yesterday of my sweet babies...

Wow, it's Friday already. Yesterday Mom, with the help of Charlotte, took us all to see Daddy Chris (gramps lol) at his animal hospital. Waiting for the taxi we met a very rude man. He said my a*s was green! Well it is, from all the amniotic fluids but still, it was rude. Mom said not to worry, the green will come off but he's ugly! hahahaha
My babies had their dewclaws all done. Poor things but right after it they were fine. No wimpering, no nothing. Mom watched and almost cried. Daddy Chris was very gentle with them and used silver nitrate on them so no boo-boo's would come of it. He weighed them all for us on a proper scale and here are the results as of Thursday night:

Females are: one @ 9.88 oz (what a chunky monkey!), three that are 7.1 oz, and one at 7.8 oz. My one little boy weighs in at a healthy 8.5 oz! He said they are all very healthy and strong. He checked me over too and weighed me and I'm down to a svelt 7.6 k's (16.5 lbs roughly). He said I may still lose a bit of weight and my uterus hasn't gone back into shape quite yet but will soon. He also embarrassed me by taking my temperature again. geezzzz I wish people would leave my bum alone. Even my babies, always crawling around there.
Auntie Charlotte left today for the U.S. for a visit with her daughter and grandkids. She will miss me very much and I will miss her too. Mom made her a yahoo email account and promised to send her pics to see of my babies :-)
Mom's friend Linda came by today too. She's known Linda since she was 12 yrs old! That's a longgggg time. Linda has wanted one of my babies since she found out I was pregnant so mom thinks one will go with Linda when it's old enough. Linda will take very good care of my baby and make sure it has everything it ever needs.
Last night I drove mom nuts. She got maybe 2 hrs sleep. I was up all night. I even barked at her! I growled, barked, whined. I kept getting out of my babies bed and wandering around the apt, looking at everything. I even had 3 big poops!! lol Mom was shocked. But she was also upset at me for keeping her up all night. I even started digging in the baby bed. I scared mom too cause I went up to the head of her bed and barked at her! I was pulling the blanket out of the baby bed... you name it, I did it and was driving mom nuts. She has no idea what has gotten into me. Even today, I was digging at my blanket in the baby box. Mom has to watch that because I can cover the babies.
Here is a short video mom took this morning: cha cha cha :-)

Visitors

Today we had visitors. Our friend Ali from next door came to see my babies and I jumped out of my bin and barked, barked, barked at him!! And our neighbour across the hall came later too and I did the same to her! Mom says I'm weird. lol Mom went to take the trash down and I ran out of the apt. after her. We stopped at Charlotte & Greg's and when they opened the door I ran in all happy to see them and stayed there for a while then ran home to my babies. Later in the early evening my boyfriend's mom, Mary Ann, and her daughter came to see us. I haven't seen them in 2 months, not since Gambit and I did the horizontal mambo but I didn't bark at all at her! Nothing. As soon as I saw who was coming down the hall I took off and ran half way up the long hall to meet them and I was so excited to see them. I even let them hold my babies :-) Btw, we checked to see and I have 5 little girls and 1 little boy :-) And we didn't weigh them quite right. One is about 6 oz, four are 7 oz and the last chunky monkey is 8 oz. My babies are healthy and very active. We are now staying in the livingroom where it's much cooler. I'm eating like a little piggy and drinking water more now too. My babies are always eating :-)

HAPPY BIRTH DAY!!!

And wow what a surprise it was!! June 1st at about 7:34 pm I popped out my first baby :-) Then between then and an hour later I popped out the other 3 !!! I now had 4 beautiful little babies. 2 boys and 2 girls :-) It was now 8:30 I was doing good and so were my babies so mom and Charlotte (the lady that watches me when mom is at the hospital with Nanna) decided the best thing to do is to give me a quickie shower because I'm lookin pretty gross. After that I went running back to my babies :-) But mom and Charlotte saw something.... they saw a contraction!! So mom quickly called my vet again (poor Goran, she already talked to him 5 times tonight lol) and she talked to him again. Goran (vet's tech) told mom it would be the placenta that I would expell at some point. If I hadn't by morning to bring me in. So they waited. And waited. About an hour and 20 minutes after I had my last baby I shot out another!!! That's 5 now. Boy, you should have seen the look on their faces!! hahaha And mine! Finally Charlotte thought she should go home for a bit since it was around 10:30 pm. Charlotte's boyfriend Greg came over to see my 5 babies :-) At about 11:15 mom saw I was pushing my babies away and fidgeting all over the place and then I stood up and hunched my back like a cat! Mom wondered what the heck was going on and all of a sudden she saw a gush of blood and then baby # 6 flew out like a bullet and not even in a sack!!! Holy cow, she and Greg almost had a puppy of their own when they saw that! So... I'm pooped. Very pooped. I have 6 beautiful little babies and they all seem strong and healthy. Each one weighs 7 oz :-) I keep licking and licking and licking them. Mom just had to give me another bath and I didn't like it at all. I'm wet and not happy but I wouldn't let her dry me. I needed to get back to my babies. Here are some pictures: My babies cry a lot and I'm not great at helping them all find boobies yet either. My babies need to be washed because they all have disgusting afterbirth crap on them and they look almost black some of them !! I have it all over me too. Mom says she is going to go out and clean the carpet now since I decided I needed to pee and ran out to the livingroom where my pads are beside the balcony door and I was covered in black from the afterbirth and now mom's cream coloured carpet isn't cream coloured any more! She said then she's going to bed now I and my babies have quieted down a bit. She is hoping all is well in the morning and that I don't lay on any of my babies and they all find a boobie cause every time she helps and finds them one, they let go or I start to lick them and knock them off. I think this is going to take a lot of practice. I'm also wondering if I'll ever be white again....... Once mom gets me all cleaned up and my babies too, she'll take a nice picture of all of us :-) Night Night.
