I got a new toy!!! (Friday July 13th, 2007)

My mom finally got away from the computer. She hogs it a lot lately. I'm playing catch up again! This is me on Friday the 13th. While we were out we dropped into the Menagerie. We did this because I'm still driving my humans nutso because I go on my pee pad once then somewhere else the next time so we went to the Menagerie in search of this stuff to spray where they want me to go! The got the stuff to spray where they don't want me to go now it seem's they have stuff to spray where they do want me to go! Wow...... the puppy business is the business to be in, we found the stuff.... it was $20.00 and when mom got it home she discovered it's pretty much only amonia. She says it better work or she's writing the company. She's real good at that. :-)

While at the Menagerie she found me this really neat ball. It has knobs all over it and I just love it. It's nice and hard rubber and feels just like my kong and it is even coloured like my kong. I'm having lots of fun with this.

Thursday July 20th, 2007

Wow oh wow..... I met the most handsome little boy today!! His name is Alfie. Alfie lives only a few blocks from me. Imagine that! He is Maltese and poodle and sweet as sugar. I invited him in to the scooter basket with me and his dad is here helping him in since he can't jump that high.

Ohhhhh Alfie..... he is so affectionate.

I'm just goofy over Alfie. I hope I'm spelling his name right, my mom didn't think to ask his dad if it starts with an "A" or an "E". I mean, I know I'm good, and that I can type too but geez mom, I can't talk yet.
I hope Alfie's dad comes to this blog and see's his pictures and comments. If you do pop in Alfie's Dad..... *smooch* to Alfie. I hope we see each other again so we can play together.
This thing is really hard to use. Every time I put my pictures in they go all over the place and knock my words all over too. It's nuts. Being a puppy that types is hard enough.

Sunday July 8th, 2007

Do you believe this? Check out the pink in my hair. It's only pink now but when it started it was beet red!

While we were out shopping on Saturday this lady just fell in love with me and had to kiss me......... and she had red red lipstick on which obviously wasn't the kind made to stick on for the day!

After she kissed my little head she exclaimed "Oh, I got my lipstick on her"! Duh..... so I went around with a big red blotch on my head for the rest of the day.

In these pics my mom had already brushed my hair a lot so it was just pink now. Nothing would take it out and it's now Monday and it's still there. What is the matter with humans??

Oh, btw, the same day we took that stupid purple ball back to that big named pet place and guess what? They tried to blame it on me! Little me and when that didn't work they tried blaming it on mom. Mom's not going there any more. That's ok, seems everything only has to go back and it's disappointing for me.

Saturday July 7th, 2007

07/07/07....... today must have been my lucky day because we spent lots of time at parks today. We had a couple of not so nice things happen too though. Earlier in the day mom, nanna and I went shopping to an unnamed store but certainly one of the bigger ones and mom bought me some Milkbones. ummmmmm yummy! Logan's dad let me taste one the other day and I loved it. When mom got them home and opened them though she found them yukky buggy!!! She tossed them on the balcony and intends to call the company on Monday.

Next we went to another store, this one a pet supply store that's another big name store and mom had to take a harness back because they turned out badly made and the manufacturer tried to blame it on me when their logo fell off and stuck to my tummy and my mom had to cut it out of my fur :-( When she was there though she bought me a new ball!! Yeahhhhhh I love balls.

After that little escapade we went over to Riverdale Park! I like this place. I ran and ran and ran and chased the little birdies too! I even barked at them. I met a few doggies briefly there and saw an old friend too. And I met a little girl before we went home for dinner.
When we got home for dinner mom gave me my new ball. ummmmm so much for that thing. Within 5 minutes it was worthless and mom was scared I would choke on it. She says it's going back tomorrow!! And she's never shopping in this big named pet supply store any more because their products are not puppy safe. Now I don't have a ball any more :-( Mom says this store should be call P.U. for stinky!!

To make up for that we all went to Allen Gardens for a couple of hours. What fun I had there. I didn't see any of my friends I normally see there but tonight I met two new friends.

In this picture is Oscar. He was a ton of fun and he's so smart! Mom had stopped at No Frills on the way to the park and got me a new box of Milkbones and Oscar sniffed them out!!

Oscar knows lots of tricks, he's 2 years old. Here he was begging for a Milkbone. He really likes them. He sits and begs too. And he rolls over too. Quite talented. I hope I learn some of those tricks one day.

This is a Jack Russell Terrier I met tonight too. He was running all around playing with me and Oscar. He got all tangled up in my leash.

Ooooooooooh Mom called me a bad name tonight. While she was busy I was playing and I ran into the bathroom when she wasn't looking and took the bathmat. My Nanna's NEW bathmat that now has some holes in the back of it!!! oh boy..... mom says Nanna is not going to be happy. Sorry Nanna, I thought it was a toy.

Friday June 6th, 2007

I decided to take yesterday off after systematically driving everyone nutso around here the day before :-) Today I had a bit of fun again though as you can see in the picture. There's something about that nice soft toilet paper.... hehehehehe That's my t-shirt in front of it. I have one of mom's old t-shirts to snuggle up to at night and to run around dragging it everywhere during the day.

Wednesday July 4th, 2007

By time she got away from the computer...... today I decided to reach a new level and drive my mom and nanna a little more around the bend. I have simply had it with this pee pad thing. I don't like it, I don't want anything to do with it any more but they just don't get it. They keep trying and trying so I decided this morning to let them know exactly how I feel about it. After all that activity I headed for one of my favourite places to lay down. Right smack in front of the fridge door.!

That was pretty much it for today. We didn't go out because it was too wet out so I tore around the apt. and played with the neighbours instead. Malka came to visit but she is still scared of me because I have way too much energy for her so she sat with my mom, on her lap.

Tuesday July 3rd, 2007

What a day, what a day...... We had errands to run again but right after dinner we went out to play!! Back to Allen Gardens we went. We got there earlier this time, around 7:30 and holy moly the place was full of doggies!!! Lots of big ones too and lots and lots off their leash. We go to the part of the park that is off-leash although mom won't let me off my leash yet because I'm a terror and will run away. Mom ended up moving us all because some bad people let their doggies do their business and it was the big doggies and the didn't clean up after them either. It was gross and stinky and my mom didn't want me near it. If they don't have a bag they need to ask one of the dozen or more people with their doggies for one to clean up those messes. Bad, bad people. Maybe they should read this:
municiple codes
This is A.C. in the pictures with me. We met in the park today.

This is me having fun with the new bright orange ball my mom bought me at Bobo's earlier today. I love that thing! It squeaks too. I'm jumping up to try to get it from her.

Grass! Yummy! Mom tries to stop me from eating this stuff but every once in a while I get a really big mouthful, right by the roots and mom doesn't manage to grab it all. And below is me, striking a couple of pretty poses :-)

I had so much fun. Afterwards we went from the park for a while and then came back and we saw Logan again and his dad and we met a new friend named Tiny and his dad Al. We didn't get a picture of Tiny but he was sweet. We'll try the next time we see him

Monday July 2nd, 2007

While I was in the office today with Mom, Uncle Ron came in...... I was so happy to see him I pee'd a bit! oooops sorry mom, right under the desk. hahaha Uncle Ron played with me for a bit and then he had to go but not before rubbing my tummy for me which he always does. I love Uncle Ron.

Mom embarrassed me again and had a conversation about me and my limited pee's with him. She told him when she gets home she is going to call the Vet and maybe make an appointment! It's not normal for a puppy to drink normal amounts and only pee a few times a day. I won't go pee outside either. I'm bashful.

I really do love my namesakes (Dr. Christopher Drabant and Ligia his technician) but I didn't want to go and maybe have my temperature taken again, last time was embarrassing the way they did it when I got sick to my tummy from my needle. Almost as soon as I got home I went right over to my pee pad (yes!! my pee pad) and I had a good little piddle so they didn't have to worry. *whew*....... saved myself a Dr. trip.

Mom added something named "Flickr" to my blog today. It's a place where people can check out my pictures full sized once she gets them on there. Just scroll down here a bit and look in the sidebar on the right. You'll see my pictures in a little box, changing, just click on it and you'll go there. You can comment on my pictures there too if you like.

Later that night, mom took a nap after dinner the lazy lady! I was waiting to go out. Around 8 pm we finally went out to Allen Gardens down the way from our home. Before we went though I had a surprise for Mom and Nanna. I learned another new trick. I can finally jump high enough to make it on the sofa!!!! YEAHHHH Super Puppy!! I just need a cape now! Neither was too impressed though. hmmmmm I'll have to work on this so it's cute too and impress them.

At Allen Gardens there were lots of doggy's this time. I saw this big one and I ran around the other side of my mom's scooter and jumped up on the floorboard of it. Hiding. I'm a sissy sometimes.

This is the doggy I was hiding from for a bit. His name is Logan. Logan is part Husky and part German Sheppard. He is 11 years old! His daddy had him for only a few years and wishes he had him all his life. Logan turned out to be a very nice adult doggy and he played with me a bit and didn't mind when I went puppy crazy and jumped and spinned and got us all twisted in my leash a couple of times. Every time Mom went to take a pic of Logan either I ran in it or Logan turned his head.

And another nice doggy I met tonight was Bandit. Bandit and I played for a bit too. His name is Bandit because of his eyes, it looks like he has a mask on. He was fun too.

It was getting late and we had to go visit Auntie Kim too yet so we went home just after dark. Once home I gave mom and nanna my nightly gifts where I shouldn't. Mom cleaned up one mess and nanna cleaned up the other.

Sunday July 1st, 2007

heheheh... I stole mom's computer chair in her office now! She's helping someone at one of the computers so I'm going to catch up on yesterday. We had a busy day yesterday. Mom and Nanna took me out and around. Before we went out they tried one of the new pee pads we bought at Crappy Tire the day before and guess what? oh yeah, I could smell the special doggy smell they put on it to attract us but it made me crazy and instead of using it for my pee spot I dragged it all over the place and then ripped it apart even though it claims to be tear proof!! Mom is taking them back sometime this week.

Later in the day, after dinner, we went to the park. Allen Garden's this time. Wow.. doggy's everywhere!! Lots of new friends. I met "Friskie" who was indeed Friskie! he was really cute too. Pretty golden colour and part Lhasa Apso and part Pomeranian (if I remember right). He was fun to play with, about 3 times the size of me. And then I met another puppy and this one was a Westie. She was really cute and very playful. Her mom really liked me and so did her mom's friend. They kept playing with me too and picking me up. Later 2 men came up to me and played with me too. Mom really embarrassed me with the 2 men because they were talking about my peepee problems, the fact I won't go back to my pee pad. geez mom, is nothing sacred?

After an hour of running, playing and barking we went to visit Doris for a wee bit then to the store for some fruit and milk and back home by around 10:15. On the way home I was completely tuckered out and slept the whole way in mom's basket.

Once I was home though I was a holy terror again. Mom is concerned that I don't pee when I should any more either. For a day or more now I've only been going 2 or 3 times in a day!! I shouldn't be able to hold that long....... when will she learn I'm Puppy Extraordinare!!

Saturday June 30th, 2007

I'm learning to like weekends. It's at least one adventure assured. This Saturday was no different, we went everywhere. We had lots of errands to do so off we went around 1 pm. First was down to the post office where mom gets all crazy because Canada Post doesn't have a wheelchair accessible post office that her parcels go to and she has to go up a creepy alleyway and call into the store for help. She has pictures too! On another website called torontomobility.com She did a story about Canada Post. She doesn't like them much I'm afraid. She has a stinky postie too that won't wait for you to open the door so he doesn't have to deliver the parcel, the lazy person.

Today I learned something else too. There are lots of stupid parents in Toronto that don't put their doggy on a leash. sheesh......

Anyway, after we went to the Post Office and mom cooled down emotionally we went to the hardware store. We have a really big balcony but I'm not allowed on it because I'm too little and there is a sizable space between where the balcony slab stops and the panel begins. Everyone is afraid that I will fall through it so mom took measurements and asked my Uncle Rob to cut me some wood. Uncle Rob is a really busy many though and is helping his son move into his new house this weekend so mom thought just in case to price how much it would cost to have some wood cut. The man in the store said about $15.00 so if Uncle Rob can't do it soon, mom will get it done at the hardware store so I can play on the balcony. While I was outside with nanna waiting for mom I met this little lady named Hailey! Hailey really liked me. Her and her mom are here from Newfoundland visiting. They like it but wouldn't want to live here, it's very noisy and too busy for them. :-) They were really nice people and stopped to talk for a while and Hailey liked to pet me.

Next....... We turned around and headed on to the bank and then to "crappy tire"... (Canadian Tire, my mom and her family call it crappy tire). All of a sudden it started to rain as we were crossign the street and suddenly a "painted lady" butteryfly landed right on the arm of my Nanna's scooter!! Wow..... another new friend. And she stayed there for a long time too! Mom grabbed a picture of her but her wings were not open. She's pretty none the less.

Then we went to the PARK!!! Yippee!!! There is a really nice Parkette on Asquith (sort of behind The Bay). This is a pretty little parkette and usually someone is walking their doggy too. Today though there were some noisy people and one of them had a dog and the doggy was NOT on a leash! Mom put me down so I could play in the park for a bit but the big doggy not on a leash worried her. There are leash laws in Toronto but it seems people ignore them. That's not nice. There are laws on the books for reasons but for the most part it also protects your doggy from getting hit by a car, or injured near a construction site or many other things. It's not just to keep your doggy away from people. That is important too though because some people due to fear of doggy's or religious beliefs don't want your doggy near them and they are entitled to that. I, as a doggy, personally don't understand it but some people just don't like doggy's.

My Mom has put a link on this day's blog for me so you can read all about doggy issues in the City of Toronto. Just click on the date above and it will go there. At the link above you can see all about the off-leash parks and dog walker permit policies and applications and there is a long list there too with all the Toronto Parks that have a no-leash policy or a section where there is no leash required. At the very bottom of that page is another important link to "animal licensing". You should really look at that too. I looked all that up myself..... aren't I a smart little doggy??? We ended up having to leave that parkette because of this unleashed doggy and it's stupid dad. I found some information you may find useful though:

Where do you call to report a dog running at large, a public safety concern involving an animal, a dead animal, etc? Complaints for bylaw infractions (e.g., dog running at large, dog off leash, failure to stoop & scoop, etc.) may be reported during normal business hours by calling 416-338-PAWS (7297). If you have an immediate public safety concern involving an animal, Toronto Animal Services provides 24-hour emergency service. Our after-hours services can also be reached by calling 416-338-PAWS (7297).

After we left we headed for home for dinner then we went out again. First we stopped out the back of our building and I langushed in the grass for a while. Mom and Nanna are still trying to potty train me and I'm bucking them every inch of the way. It's frustrating the heck out of them. I won't even go outside!!! And inside, well....... I go where I please these days and there seems theres no stopping me.

After I layed in the grass for a while we noticed there were these two black poodles off their leash too and the saw me and started my way. We have encountered these doggies before and left because their dad is not a good dad and lets them run everywhere, even far away from him. Mom doesn't know if they have had their shots or not so we headed off for Riverdale Park again. It was chilly out suddenly so we stopped by the coffee shop on the way there and got Nanna a nice hot coffee. And we met Uncle Ron and Mingus again! And Joyce was there too. Everyone gushed over me and Uncle Ron rubbed my tum-tum for me and I just loveeeee that! We stayed there for a bit then off we went to the Park. I love Riverdale Park.

I played and played in Riverdale Park. I looked like a nut. I ran and ran and rolled in the grass and barked at nothing. hehehe And I met new friends again. There were two pugs there off their leash (bad parents) but they didn't want to play but there was another puppy that did and we ran after each other for a bit before his parents and their new baby went for a walk. And there was a little apricot poodle that came by too and he liked to played with me for a few minutes too. People came by and petted me too. I always like to be petted. We finally left about an hour later and I was getting tuckered out. Besides, mom was getting tired of taking grass by the roots out of my mouth. I like to grab it, shake my head and rip it out by the roots. Mom thinks it's gross but I think it's fun to do.

Look over in my links section, Mom did me a favour and added some new links for people to look through.
