Saturday October 27th, 2007

We were out a lot again today. It's Saturday and mom and nanna usually run a lot of errands on Saturdays & Sundays. Mom had her Seniors program on Thursday and it was funny funny. Some of the people dressed up in costumes. Mom gave me some pictures to post here.

The cowboy won the best costume prize. It was a 5 cup coffeemaker. And the last picture up here are just some of the people that came for lunch. My mom cooked roast beef, mashed potatoes (her property manager helped with these), broccoli/cauliflower/baby carrots, home made dinner rolls and yorkshire pudding!! And a lady who volunteers for her baked 6 pies for dessert. She also baked a huge birthday cake for some of the seniors.

Mom's property manager also brought her a birthday cake!! Boy was she surprised!! Here is what it looked like. It's not her birthday until November 12th but he surprised her with it.
Today while we were out mom bought me a new monkey. A big stuffed one and I'm having a ball with it!! As soon as I got home I had a big fight with it. Even took it up on the sofa and had a fight with it. heheheh Then I went after mom's kleenex. She didn't think that was too funny. On the way home we met 2 Bichon's..... they were lots of fun! A boy and a girl. Bogey and Blanca. Blanca found a mud puddle to play in. Yeahhhhhh Blanca. Those are lots of fun. I hope we see each other again soon.

Sunday October 21st, 2007

Yesterday was Sunday and it was hot! Everyone dressed up in their summer clothes and spent the day outside. We went to 2 parks and at one we ran into Butch & Patsy!!! I had fun. Patsy barked at me a lot though but I didn't mind it. I was playing with Butch. Maybe she was jealous? Then we went to another park and I got to play with another little doggy for a bit. We were out for hours in the sun and having fun.

Tomorrow it's suppose to be way hot again so we're going out on Monday too. :-) YIPPIE

October 20th, 2007

Wow Wow Bow Wow.... I had a great day yesterday. Mom had running around to do for her program and we went to this nice little park near Yonge St. on Isabella. When we were there we saw a nice little girl who was a bit scared of me but wanted to play. She had Down Syndrome so mom kept me there a long time so the little girl could get used to me and finally I layed down so she could pet me too. Her daddy was with her and he was nice too.

Then we met a really nice couple of men. And they stopped and talked to mom a long time about me. They have 2 Bichon's!!! Butch & Patsy. I'd like to play with them one day. Mom was telling them she wants to 'breed' me one day and they told her they bred their doggies and for her to get ready to cook lots of chicken cause I'll need lots of protein if I am having babies. Is that what it takes to get human food from my mom????

And then...... I met Freida!!! Wow we had such a great time. Freida is a 5 month old cocker spaniel and she was so pretty and boy did we ever play. My mom and her dad let us play and jump and roll around each other for over a 1/2 hour I think. We were both wacked out afterwards. There were other doggies at the park too who came along to say a quick hi to us.

This is the same little park where I met Cooper a long time ago. I was hoping to see him again too but I haven't since then. Maybe next time. Mom is going to take me again later today. It's a really nice day out and she wants me to have as much play time as possible.

Well, I have to go. Mom needs the computer because she has work to do before we go out. See you all later. :-) Woof!

October 18th, 2007

Since mom got her grant and is extending her seniors program I never get to post *whimper* We are out all the time and I even go with mom when she does stuff for her program other than the dinner. I'm not allowed to go to that. She's still sicky too. My mom is freakin a bit because her 50th birthday is coming up real fast. Too fast she says..... heheheh I will be 7 months old in a couple of days myself. I'm growing up but I'm still doing lots and lots of puppy things.

Like the other day.... mom was working on the computer and I was in my crate in the bedroom and mom realized how quiet it was. Uh oh... she went looking for me and I wasn't on the balconcy and I wasn't in my crate in the livingroom, I was nowhere so she decided to go and look in the bedroom crate again because sometimes I scrunch right down the back of it. When she turned around to go look she realized the bathroom door was open. YIPPEE!!! Yup, there I was, a white furball laid out like Queen of Sheba on the burgundy mat and all around me was shredded toilet paper! Mom took one look and busted out laughing. She told my nanna I was laying there, all this toilet paper (it was a new roll) was shredded around me and I looked at her with my head tilted with a "who me?" look on my face and a long piece of toilet paper hanging from my mouth! She ran for her camera but the stupid batteries were dead. Mom says she doesn't want a repeat though just to get a picture.

October 8th, 2007 - Thanksgiving Day

Today is a special day for humans, it's Thanksgiving Day. (We're Canadian and we have a Thanksgiving day too but it's different from the U.S.) This is my first Thanksgiving and I am very thankful today because mom and nanna took me out for over 2 hrs to play in the parks. First we went to the University of Toronto campus where I found nice wet grass again... heheheh poor mom she had a fit when she saw my green face. She tried to get a picture of it but I wouldn't cooperate.

It was so hot today. Mom says it's Global Warming. It was 30 degree's when we got home (that's 86 F) but with the humidity it was 100 F!!! People are walking around with shorts and t-shirts on and there were tons of motorcycles out. Everyone is taking their last ride of the season today. Two bikers thought I was really cute when they were stopped for a light :-) I made them smile big smiles. The news said it was the hottest Oct 8th on record and the hottest Thanksgiving. People were out everywhere, even on the beach playing vollyball!! Lots of doggies too.

On the way home from the U of T we went over to the park we like by Canadian Tire and I saw Molly!!! Yeahhhhhhhh!!! I love Molly and she loves me and we play, play, play. Look....

This is me and Molly. She is part Yorkie and part Poodle and she's adorable. See us smiling? Molly likes to jump on my head :-) I don't mind, I think it's fun.

Mom's seniors program pics

Here we go, just like I said. Mom had her Seniors Social on Tuesday October 2nd, and the Minister of Health George Smitherman was there and brought the meal. Actually his assistant Cheryl cooked it :-) Here are the pictures. (by the way, I wasn't allowed to go. No doggies allowed! How unfair).

This picture is of some of the sweets for dessert. There was lots of fresh fruit and a ton of baked goodies. *sniff**sniff* I didn't get any.

This is Minister of Health George Smitherman. He is talking to the seniors before they have dinner. His assistant Cheryl is standing beside him. That's my Nanna in the background in the scooter.

This is George and Cheryl (his assistant and wonderful cook) Cheryl made Chicken Cacciatore for the seniors and one with no meat for mom's vegetarian seniors. Mom didn't give me any of that either!!

These are some of the seniors that attended the meal. Lots and lots of seniors come. Some of the seniors there also come to the Bingo that mom helps with and that I'm allowed to go to. I like the seniors and they like me too.

This is the Minister of Health having lunch with some of our seniors. They are all telling stories and laughing and having a good time.

This is more of the people that went to the lunch. The place was packed :-)

The next day on Wed. we went to Canadian Tire to buy some pots and pans for mom's program and there is a park just around the corner on Church St. before it turns into Davenport. We went there so I can play and Molly and her mom showed up! Molly is 3 months old and she is part poodle and part yorkie and is so sweet. She likes to play too so we were playing with each other for a long while. We had lots of fun and Molly's mom says we can play again another time too. I have to remind my mom to post on my blog when we will be at the park again so maybe Molly's mom will see it and join us.

We are going to Cdn Tire again on this coming Saturday because mom wants to buy me a new crate!!!! One of my crates is still my original one and mom says she doesn't like it any more because I look like an old arthritic lady when I come out of it. It's small and I'm becoming a big girl so time for a new sleepy crate like the bigger one in the diningroom. We might be at the park around 2 pm or so but hopefully mom will remember to post a better time that day before we go because I sure would like to play with Molly again. I'll have to bark at my mom to give Molly's mom our phone number so we can meet now and then and play.

Last night, Thursday, we went to the U of T again so I can play there on the nice grass. Mom couldn't believe her eyes, my paws were black!! And I was all wet!! Again!! I was having a lot of fun *wink*. Mom took me to the groomer last Friday and on Sunday I found wet grass and dirt and now I found it again! hahaha weeeee I had a ton of fun and I now have a white body and black paws! yippee.

I'm feeling much better since I saw the Dr. last Friday too. :-)
